It’s that time of the month for another gathering of Helper Saturday Vibes on Saturday, August 13 at 5:00 pm on Helper’s Historic Main Street. Market Manager, Allie Farnham and Vendor Manager, Rachel Barbee stopped by Castle Country Radio to let listeners know about the fun, family-friendly event.

This event will mark one of the last four gatherings of Helper Saturday Vibes and organizers have been pleased overall with the attendance of the event. “Things have been a huge success. We have had a lot of folks coming out, you may have been surveyed, if you have come out, we do demographic surveys, just trying to get an understanding where people are coming from. Just as a little fact drop, we’ve got 80 percent people coming from Carbon County, and 20 percent from outside of the area, we’ve been averaging 1,500 people and we are just feeling the love,” stated Farnham. The gathering has provided live entertainment and vendor booths for the entire family to enjoy twice a month over the summer season.

This week there will be two bands performing, Route 89 and Stonefed. “So we’ve got Route 89 opening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. They typically are a closing band, so we are going to have epic music all night long. All the bands are always great but this is really a top band. Eight band members, they play a lot of covers, anything from the 60s to present. Then we’re closing it down with Stonefed. So they come from Moab, they’re a jam band, they have a pretty big following. They played for us last year, and they are just a ton of fun,” said Farnham.

You can always count on the gathering to feature food trucks at each event as Barbee explains, “We’ve got all of our classics that you guys have loved. We’ve got some tacos, we’ve got some barbeque. Mambo Truck will be there, Ruben’s BBQ which is a local favorite will be there. We’ll also have Tallies and Smallies which you have seen around town. So definitely come check out the food trucks.” All items are very reasonably priced and delicious.
