Our loving mother, grandmother, Roberta Lee Parker, passed on her 79th birthday, August 26, 2022, at the San Rafael Health and Rehab in Ferron, Utah.

She was born August 26, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Carrie Swanson Pierson.  On November of 1962, she married Earl James Parker in Evanston, Wyoming and they had four children: Sherri, Robert, Troylynn and Carrie.  Earl preceded her in death on November 18, 2003.

“A Tribute to Our Beloved Mom”

Here’s to the woman who created us, without her, we would not exist.  She was there through every tear and smile, and molded us with honesty, faith, and truth.  She taught us the significance of humility and pride. And the wisdom to know the difference.  Through her we learned the virtues of purity, and the art of earning friendships.  She gave us the gift of dreaming, and the determination to make dreams come true.  She passed on to us the knowledge of being humble, and the good graces to stand on our own two feet. Somewhere along the line she slipped in the golden rule, and revealed to us the secrets of its understanding.  Then she mixed in a little patience and a whole lot of love. And delivered to us the importance of them all.  So now we take the time to say, “Thank you, Mother,” for making us who we are!

She was survived by her three daughters and one son, Sherri (Gary) Mitcheson, Ferron, Robert James (Toni) Parker, Price, Troylynn Hughes, Rifle, CO., Carrie Denise (Russell) Wilstead, Helper; step-son, Nick (Teresa) Parker-Holland, Fort Morgan, CO., 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Mary Pierson; and a sister Patricia Christensen.

Per Roberta’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome to share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
