The Price City Library offers many services and events to patrons of all ages. Castle Country Radio was able to speak on the telephone with Library Coordinator, Tawnya Kulow to discuss all the details.

“Well it was a very, very busy summer, we just finished our summer reading, it was a great success and I just wanted to thank everyone who participated. We had a great turnout, and it was a hopping place at the library this summer so that was great,” stated Kulow. Library officials entertained children of all ages throughout the summer with various stories and activities that had to do with the theme of Ocean of Possibilities.

The library would like to start a Lego Club on Mondays for children ages 8 to 12 years of old. They need help to determine what time the club should be held as Kulow explains, “We would like to do it on Mondays after the early release time. We’re looking at about 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm but we are willing to see what everyone would like. So if you’re interested come into the library, and signup for your child to be in the Lego Club. We have limited seats right now; this is our trial run.” The library would like to start the Lego Club in mid-September or early October. If you need more information about club enrollment, contact the library or stop by.

The library is offering free at home COVID tests while supplies last. “The library has some free at-home COVID testing kits here that we are just giving away. One per person. So if you’re feeling under the weather or want to have one just on hand you can come down and we have those for a limited time also,” said Kulow. Again, these will be distributed one per person while supplies last.

If you would like to rent a DVD the library has a wide selection available to check out. “The exciting thing about that is we carry a lot of the older movies that we want our children to see so we check those out and there’s not a lot of places to go here to find some of those older movies and so we have a great selection for that,” stated Kulow. The library also has a selection of audiobooks available to check out as well.
