recovery-out-loud

It’s National Recovery Month in September and Four Corners Community Behavioral Health, along with several like-minded organizations in the area are putting together an event entitled Recovering Out Loud on Friday, September 9 at the Price City Peace Garden. Prevention Program Director, Taylor Passarella stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.

“So we’re really excited, we’re partnering with many different agencies in the community that all have pretty much the same goal that we have and that focus is celebrating recovery and what it means to us and our clients. So we’re really excited to offer this event, its for everyone, its at the Price City Peace Gardens, it’s on September 9 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm,” stated Passarella. Every person, every family, every community plays an important role in recovery.

This gathering is a great way to raise awareness in the recovery process for both individuals and families. “So we’re going to be doing snow cones, we have live music, we have a photo booth. We’re going to be serving food, they’re gyros, so we’re really excited about that, something new and different. We have a bunch of different booths there that are going to provide information for resources that are in the community. We have prizes that we have had donated from many local businesses in Carbon County,” explained Passarella. One of the organizations that will be on hand is the Southeastern Utah Health Department which will be providing free car seat checks to families with children.

This event would not be possible without the many community resources, as Passarella highlights, “We are partnering with many different agencies. So we have StepOne Service, and Castleview Hospital, and Four Corners of course. Then we’re also partnering with the C.A.R.E Coalition, SEUALG/SEUEDD, we have Carbon Medical, USARA, Utah State Extension, and then the Health Department.” The event organizers would like to thank all of these organizations for their participation.
