The Lady Dinos soccer squad couldn’t find the back of the net as they suffered their first loss since Aug. 12, after Tuesday night’s region opener against Canyon View in Price, 4-0.

Carbon had a difficult time finding any offense as Canyon View kept them out of the back of the net all game, the Dinos have outscored their opponents in their victories 18-6, and this was the second shutout loss this season.

The focus for the Dinos will now shift to another region foe, the Richfield Wildcats, who will be in town on Thursday. Last season, both contests between these two were as close as they could be, the first game, which was held in Price ended up going to the Dinos on penalty kicks in a shoot out 1-1(5-4). The next one on Richfield’s home field went to the Dinos as well 4-3 after one over time.

The other thing that the Dinos will be looking for on Thursday is the Utah High School Activities Association’s initial release of the RPI. Once published, The RPI will be updated after each match and at the end of the season it will be used for final seeding in the State Championships.

Thursday’s contest with Richfield is set to begin at 4 p.m..
