Emery has been putting  quite a run together as they welcomed the Manti Templars on Tuesday to the Spartan Center. Emery took command in the first set and finished off the Templars in three straight, taking a 3-0 victory.

The Lady Spartans have now won four of their last five and have just one game left before they begin region play next week, they will also be looking to Friday when the Utah High School Activities Association will release the initial RPI for 3A volleyball.

Emery jumped out and claimed a first set victory 25-18, the second set was a close one but, the Spartans pulled out the 25-22 win and then would turn around taking the third set and the match 25-18.

The Lady Spartans sit at 6-6 this season and have one game left before they will jump in to region play. Thursday they will face Juab at home, the Wasps will enter the contest coming off of a loss to Millard 3-1, moving them to 5-8 on the season. Last season these two teams met up twice with Emery taking both matches in straight sets 3-0.

After the meeting with Juab, the Lady Spartans will take a week off, not playing again until Thursday, Sept. 15 when they welcome the Richfield Wildcats to Castle Dale, for the Region 12 opener.

The game against Juab is set to start at 6 p.m..
