The Carbon Dinos hosted Region 12 at the Carbon Country Club on Thursday as the regular season schedule is wrapping up. The Richfield Wildcats kept their dominance beating the second place Dinos by one stroke 307 to 308.

Richfield claimed the top spot with Carbon taking second. Emery with 352 finished third followed by Grand (353) and Canyon View (357).

Bode Salas would once again take the top spot of the day shooting a 71 on Carbon’s home course. Wyatt Toney of Grand and Keaton Anderson of Richfield both posted a 73.

This season it has really been Carbon chasing the Wildcats since the first match, and as the season winds down the door of opportunity is starting to close for the Dinos.

Salas led the Dinos with 71, while Daron Garner shot a 77. Kyler Clark and Rydge Butler both posted an 80.

For the Spartans Carter Huntington shot an 84 to lead the team. Dempsey Toomer came up with an 87, Joey Leonard registered a 90 an Logan Riley carded a 91.

The Spartans will get their turn next week to host region at Millsite. This will be the first time at the Spartans home course in over a year. Due to the construction last season, Emery played their region meets at the Green River course. Next week will also mark the final regular season match. Region will take place in Richfield on Sept. 21.
