On the morning of October 12th, 2022 our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Esta Lee Berensen Mason, 91, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus.
She was born in Kenilworth, Utah on October 4th, 1931 to James and Venice Nelson Berensen. On May 18th, 1951 she married Joseph T. Mason in Elko, Nevada. They were blessed with three children: Pam, Keven, & Lori.
She was a graduate of Carbon High School and later in life she earned a Cosmetology Degree from College of Eastern Utah. As a cosmetologist, she made many friends & acquaintances. She then went to work for Carbon County as the Deputy County Assessor until her retirement. Her biggest accomplishment was her family. It brought her great joy to cook Sunday dinner so her family would gather together. She tremendously enjoyed baking delicious cookies and she made many varieties for many different occasions. She had the gift of serving others and it came very natural to her, whenever there was someone within her vicinity that needed help.
Esta Lee is survived by her son Keven (Earlene) Mason, Huntington; daughter, Lori (Tad) Fausett, Price; son-in-law, Arne Rajala, Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren: Heidi (Dustin) Carlson, Brandon (Kelli) Fausett, Jessica (Nick) Teny, Ashton Fausett and Mallorie (TyLee) Allred; great-granchildren: Kamrie (Justin), Braxton, Danielle, Raquelle, Madilyn, Hadlee, Romolo, Dax, Ryker, Mason, Ella, & Vance; sisters, Carolyn Black, Carol Beeton; brothers, Carlyle (Pat) Berensen, Richard (Penny) Berensen; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Mason, parents; daughter, Pamela Rajala; granddaughter, Brianne Mason Simmons; brothers and sisters: Jess, Clayton, Keith, Margie, Norma, Everette, Shirley, Boyd, Billie Jean, & Brent.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Heirloom Inn and CNS Hospice.
Funeral service will be held, Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.
