fall-festival

The Price City Youth Council is giving back to the community by hosting their Second Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Price City Peace Gardens from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Community members of all ages are invited to attend this family-friendly event.

Everyone is encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes as there will be several contests held. “So, we have three costume contests planned for school aged children, that’s the costume contest, which you can also enter a pet in, the pie eating contest which we will have six winners, and the pumpkin carving or decorating or painting contest,” said Council Member, Landry Anderson. Participants are urged to carve, decorate or paint their pumpkins before hand and bring them to the event already finished so they can be judged.

There will be live entertainment so guests are urged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets to sit and enjoy the band called Bad Connotations.  There will be food trucks on site so you can enjoy dinner during the entertainment. “So, we’ll have Angel’s Cravings, Tallies & Smallies, and Dee’s Kitchen,” said Anderson. All of the food items are very affordable and delicious.

The night will finish off with an opportunity to watch two Halloween movies. “So there’s a double feature Halloween movies starting at 9:30 pm at Price City Auditorium and the admission to go to the movies is canned goods or $1.00 to go to the local food bank,” said Anderson. The movies that will be featured for the night are Hocus Pocus 1 and Hocus Pocus 2.
