Our loving sister, aunt, and dear friend, Earlene Frances Warren, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2022 at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation in Price, Utah.
Earlene was born on December 22, 1938 in Helper, Utah to Earl and Edith Perry Kirkwood. Throughout her early childhood she was raised by Matt Rauhala. She attended Carbon High School in Price, Utah and graduated in 1956.
Few years later following graduation, Earlene married Bob Warren. Together they were married in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 8, 1961. They later divorced.
Earlene resided in many places throughout her lifetime. She resided in Cupertino, California for 22 years and then moved to Carbon County in 1989 where she resided in East Carbon and Hiawatha. Following the closure of the Hiawatha Mine she was the final resident to move from there. She then moved to Helper, Utah.
In Earlene’s working years she spent the majority of her career working as a secretary in credit unions and banks. She was an avid reader, cat animal lover, lover of spooky movies, and anything spooky in general.
Survived by her sister, Sheila (Mike) Shumway of Sunnyside, Utah; brother, Matt (Pam) Rauhala, Jr. of Wellington, Utah; step-siblings, Lynda (Lowell) Bridge of Sandy, Utah and Marie (Bob) Fratto of West Valley, Utah; and sister-in-law, Debbie Kirkwood of Price, Utah.
Preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edith Perry Kirkwood; half-siblings, Charlie, Guy, and Earl Kirkwood, Sharon Hreinson, and Richard “Doug” Ward; and a special and dear friend, Gwenda Norton.
Earlene, we love you and we will miss you; until we can see you again!
Funeral service, Saturday, October 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price, Utah). The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Wellington City Cemetery, Wellington, Utah.
