Our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Annalee Justesen Jones, returned to the loving arms of her heavenly father on October 26, 2022.
Annalee was born to Russell Shepherd and Leah Sitterud Justesen on December 30, 1937 in Orangeville, Utah. In 1953, Annalee met and married the love of her life, Dick Jones. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS Temple. Together Annalee and Dick had four children, three of whom survive them: Kim and Sue Jones of Orangeville, UT, Dickcie and Mark Tuttle of Orangeville, UT, Vicki and Jeff Biggar of Pleasant Grove, UT; Annalee and Dick are the proud grandparents to 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving son, Kirt Jones of Orangeville, UT.
Annalee enjoyed spending time with her ever-expanding family and hosted many memorable Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas parties. She loved having her grandchildren around and always had an endless supply of cookies and Otter Pops.
She had many church callings, but being the compassionate service leader meant the most to her and was a calling she held for almost 20 years. Annalee spent her entire life living in Orangeville, and never longed to live anywhere else. She felt blessed to live close to the majority of her family, and a very special group of life-long friends.
Annalee was a hard worker and spent many years working side by side with Dick managing their farm and several properties. As Dick would say, “Annalee was always the best help he ever had.” She even taught her son-in-law how to plow a field. In later years Dick and Annalee were seldom ever apart, and their bond grew even stronger. They loved taking a sack lunch and riding for hours on the mountain looking at their cows and enjoying the scenery.
She loved working in her yard, taking care of her spotless home and spending time with her husband. She was the proud recipient not once, but twice, of the “Salt Lake Tribune Civic Beautification Award.” She never failed to have her yard decorated for every holiday.
Annalee leaves behind her loving best friend and husband Dick; her children; grandchildren; sisters, Alice Blackham (Tim), Kathy Addley (Tracy); brothers, Karl Justesen (Gloria, deceased), Ralph Justesen (Becky); many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends who love her dearly. Preceded in death by her son, Kirt Jones and a grandson, Jason Kim Jones.
We will honor Annalee November 2, 2022 at the Orangeville 1st Ward. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. A private service will follow for family and close friends. Interment will be at the Orangeville City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
