When the USU Eastern volleyball team hits the court Thursday evening in the Region XVIII tournament they will do so with the No.2 seed as they will face the No. 3 seed Snow College Badgers. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start.

The Eagles are ranked nationally at No. 8 and ended the regular season with a 23-6 overall and 7-3 in conference play. They faced the Badgers twice this season once at home at the Bunnell-Dmitrich Athletic Center taking a 3-2 victory and then on the road in Ephraim where they lost by the same 3-2 score. Snow College is also ranked nationally at No.11.

If the Lady Eagles suffer a loss, their region run would come to and end, and they would then have to wait and see if an at-large bid would be in their future. A win however, would put them against the winner of the Salt Lake Community College/College of Southern Idaho. In two meetings with the College of Southern Idaho, USU Eastern came out on top of both meetings, CSI is ranked nationally at No. 20.  The Bruins are also ranked nationally at No. 3. Both games against Salt Lake Community College this year ended in a loss for USU Eastern 3-1 and 3-0.

The match with the winner of the  Salt Lake Community College/College of Southern Idaho match-up, would take place on Friday at 1 p.m.
