Our beloved husband, Papa, Papo, PopPop and lifelong friend to many, Buddy Quintana,  age 72,  passed away November 4,2022 at Castleview Hospital surrounded by his wife, his girls and all those he loved most.

Buddy was born in Price, Ut on  May 31, 1950 to Pete and Stella Quintana.

Papa was an amazing man the center of our family and the love of our mama’s life. Not many people in Carbon County haven’t had the pleasure of knowing him and the amazing work he and his brothers were so good at. Papa could turn the inside of a shack into a beautiful masterpiece, and an old ugly piece of wood into a beautiful box or table.

Buddy had many talents other than his drywall and woodworking skills, he could tell a story that would make you stop and listen, his riddles always had a point although sometimes we didn’t know what they meant, he was funny he was kind and giving as well as stubborn, outspoken and ornery but he was always ready and willing to give his last dollar and the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it, no one was ever a stranger to him, he made many many lifelong friends who will always be an important part of the man he was.

Our Papa always enjoyed his time with his girls whether it was softball games, horseshoes, fishing or just sitting outside he loved it all. His grandkids were his whole heart he loved every one of them and taught them many life lessons that they will always cherish and remember forever, their walks to the dollar store will never be forgotten.

Buddy married the love of his life (affectionately called “Martha” or “Grandma” ) on January 26, 1971 they spent almost 52 years by each other’s side making many memories that our mom will have with her forever, it was a love that will last for eternity and a love we all strive for. Papa loved Mom with his whole heart and Mama loved him just as much, we all had the pleasure to witness it every day.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Deloris of Price, Ut; his “Girls”, Brenda “Ben” (Meagan) Quintana of Delta, CO, Stephanie “Tin Tin”(Big Will) Quintana of Delta, CO, and Toria “Little Tub of Duckfat” (Jesse) Shepherd of Helper, UT; his Son, Daryan “Grady” Burton of Cedaredge, CO; his lifelong best friend, Steve Gregory of Cedar City, UT; his Grandkids, Gregg “Precious” (Deanna) Darbro, Paxton “Pax” Quintana, Kyanna “No Weanie” (Stan) Ellison, Lil William “Wilbur” Adams, TaviAnna “Paulie June” Quintana, Joshua “Charlie” Shepherd, Nichole Davis, Lacey Davis, Haylee Brickey and Drake Brickey; Great-Grandkids, Knox “KaNox” Davis, Zakai Ellison and Baby J Davis; siblings, Terry (Mary) Quintana, Ernie Quintana, Rey (Connie) Quintana, Linda (Mike) Magann, Dolly (Paul) Downard; sisters-in-law, Debbie, Bernadette and Lynda Quintana.
