Norman Alson Smith, age 82, passed away November 1, 2022.

He was born May 15, 1940 in Denver, Colorado to Louis Alson and Nora Maxine Horton Smith. Married Ann K. Hamilton, daughter of Clarence and Lois Hamilton, on August 5, 1971 in Price, Utah.  Ann preceded him in death on November 26, 2019.

Norm graduated from Grand County High School in 1958.  He received an associate of science degree from Carbon College in 1964 and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah in 1967.

Norm worked at several local businesses including KOAL radio, and Carbon Transfer & Supply, eventually settling at Utah Power & Light (PacifiCorp) where he worked as an estimator until his retirement.

Norm was an avid photographer, and absolutely loved music and playing the organ.  He also enjoyed his amateur (ham) radio time and cooking.

Norm spent many countless hours enjoying his Masonic affiliations.  He was also active with the Daughters of Price Bethel #3, Job’s Daughters.

Survived by his brother, Robert (Claudia) Smith, Portland, Oregon; and nephew Paul Smith of Portland, Oregon.

Preceded in death by his parents Louis and Maxine Smith.

A celebration of life will be held on November 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
