The USU Eastern Dance Team is looking for donations so they can compete at the National Competition in April 2023. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with members of the Dance Team to get all the details of how you can help with a monetary donation.

“So something really awesome that we have is we can get direct support and donations and sponsors from anyone. So our friends, our family, obviously you as community members can help us by donating. We have our link to our sponsorship donations in our Instagram Bio that you can donate as little as $5.00 or honestly as much as you want would be incredible. All these funds are going directly to support the team in our travel, in our competition fees, our costume fees, and also just food and everything that requires for travel and competing at this incredible level,” said Brooklyn Ward.

There are different levels of sponsorships and they are as follows:

$5.00 – $10.00              Girls Gotta Eat / Helps cover costs for team meals

$20.00 – $50.00           Drop a Beat / Helps cover music editing & licensing fees

$100.00 – $200.00       And Action / Helps cover film, photography, concert & promotion costs

$250.00 – $500.00       Dress for Success / Helps cover costumes, concerts, nationals and gameday

$500.00 – plus               Go Eagles / Helps choreography & national travel

This year’s team has never been more talented and will be showcasing their talents at athletic events, statewide performances, annual artistic concerts, dance film projects, and the 2023 NDA Nationals competition coming in April. “So this year we have 12 girls on our team and we are coached by Brandy Taylor Johansen and Madison Burrola assists us,” said Skylynn Basso. Members of the team are all full-time students at USU Eastern and from different areas within the state. They all have a background in dance and are looking forward to competing again at Nationals in Florida.
