The Carbon Lady Dinos basketball team moved to 3-0 Tuesday night when they took on the Cedar Reds in the Carbon High gym. The Dinos put on a defensive clinic holding the Reds to single digit scoring in each quarter and taking a 58-24 win.

The Lady Dinos have posted wins over American Leadership Academy and Orem this season and now with the victory over Cedar, Carbon moves into the month of December with an unblemished record and prepares for the remainder of their non-region schedule.

The first and third quarters were huge for the Dinos as Carbon was definitely the aggressor coming out in the first, scoring 27 while holding the Reds to just seven. The second quarter was rather quiet with Carbon putting just six points on the board, but still carrying a 33-15 lead at the half.

Carbon came out firing again in the third, putting the clamps on Cedar defensively allowing five points, while seemingly scoring at will, with 19 points in the quarter. The final quarter was another quiet one with both teams combining for 10 points, but the Lady Dinos lead was safe and remained intact as they cruised to a 58-24 win.

Madi Orth had a big evening for the Dinos putting up 17, pulling down five rebounds and grabbing three steals. Amiah Timothy scored eight with five boards and four assists and Kylan Sorenson put up seven with three rebounds.

The Lady Dinos will be home again on Friday as they welcome the Summit Academy Bears. Game time is set for 7.
