West Coast Show Support is excited to be hosting Christmas A La Vivaldi on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 pm inside the Rio Theatre at 210 South Main Street in Helper. Program Coordinator, Kenny Driggs stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details.

Last year was the first year that the Christmas A La Vivaldi was presented by Nicholas Greer here in Utah and the Rio Theatre was that venue to premiere the event and they are excited to be hosting it again this year. “So he wrote this piece, Christmas A La Vivaldi which is a lot of Christmas melodies that are familiar, merged with a lot of strong Vivaldi tunes and the pieces as a whole is just shy of an hour and its incredible. It’s a really fun musical journey because you hear all the We Three Kings, and the things that we do know and love, and then we hear the heightens style of Vivaldi – it’s a chamber orchestra, so there’s 20 people up there. They really put together an amazing show,” stated Driggs. There will be many talented musicians in attendance, like Rosalie MacMillan who will make this concert extra special. This event is sure to get everyone who attends into the Christmas spirit.

The Rio Theatre is the perfect venue for this event as they have made some major renovations. “Well we’ve definitely put some focus in improving the audience experience. So we started back in the beginning of 2021 with acoustic renovations in the building, we installed a new sound system and an extensive new lighting system. I come from a background of event design, concert design, and venue production stuff. So we were able to implement a little bit of my professional network, had some friends out from Disney who tuned that room, put the sound system in, helped make it sound that way it does and it really is a strong room, it sounds amazing,” explained Driggs. The experience will be amazing not only with top notch technical design but through the amazing musical performances.

Advance tickets are currently available for $20.00 by logging into https://www.eventbrite.com/ and tickets will also be made available at the door the day of concert for a slight increase in price.
