Roger Jensen passed away December 4, 2022 at age 75. His battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Roger came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end.

Roger was born August 12, 1947 to Allies Ray and Jemima Irene Johansen Jensen in Price, Utah. He married Susan Jones in May of 1966 and later that year had their only son Doug. Roger proudly served in the Army as a mechanic and he was stationed in Germany during their early years as a family. After his time in the service, they made their home in Castle Dale and he then spent his working years in the coal mining industry as a fabrication shop foreman.

Roger was very talented in many things and always had a project going. He loved woodwork, building things with metal and coming up with different games for all of us to try. He had a love for the mountains and desert where he would spend his time riding horses, snowmobiles, dune buggies and looking for arrowheads and other Indian artifacts. If you went on a ride with him, you came back with a history lesson and a story.

Rogers’ pride and joy was his family. He loved dancing with his sweetheart and he shared his love of motorsports and mechanicing with Doug. Candace came along to be the daughter he never had. His grandkids brought a soft side to him that not many had seen.  He was the life of the party with his mischievous shenanigans. He was one of a kind. Once a friend, always a friend.

Roger is survived by his wife Susan; son, Doug (Candace); granddaughters, Kylie (Ty) Young, Kassidee (Darrin) Greenan; four great-grandchildren, Camden, Braxlie, Kezlynn and Deagan; along with many great family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his four siblings; and his in-laws.

Roger will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Ride high cowboy!
