It’s time to plan for the holiday season and what better way to get started with holiday shopping than by attending the First Annual Cleveland Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 10. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Barbie Viers to discuss all the details.

This first annual event started from an idea amongst a group of friends. “Me and some of my friends all sell different things, and they wanted to make some money for Christmas, and do something fun for the community so we decided to throw this big Christmas Festival, and invited others, and it kind of took off,” said Viers. This event will be held at the Cleveland Town Hall at 100 West Main Street from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

This event will feature an assortment of items such as crafts, jewelry, food and treats. “So we have tons of variety, there’s something for everybody there. There is Color Street Nails, Paparazzi Jewelry. There is Dakota that does the crystals and the rings, and the fun things like that. There is an epoxy table, there’s the ring bombs, there is wooden clocks. There’s really anything for anybody there,” said Viers. Guests can enjoy shopping for unique items for Christmas. There will also be free giveaways given every hour on the hour.

Not only will there me shopping available but also live entertainment can be enjoyed. “So we have a variety of people coming to do things. We’re going to have entertainment from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. We have the very talented Shalyce Rauhala, she’s going to come sing and do some numbers for us. We have the karate class that is in Emery County they’re going to come and do some numbers. We have a dance ensemble going on and some other people singing,” said Viers. The finale for the evening will be an opportunity to visit with Santa at 6:00 pm.
