The Carbon swim team continued through the season on Wednesday as they traveled to Roosevelt to participate in a meet with Emery and the host team Union. The Dinos had some very strong individual finishes as well as great relay events on both the girls and boys side of the pool.

Evie Halk took the top spot in the 500 free event and Lily Thayn grabbed a first place finish in the 100 fly. Mia Crompton earned two second place individual finishes in both the 200 free and the 100 back stroke events. Ada Bradford swam to a second place finish in the 200 IM, Alyssa Chamberlain took second in the 100 fly, Ellie Hanson earned a second place finish in the 500 free event, and Lisa King earned third place in both the 50 free and the 100 free. Lindsie Fausett also earned a third place finish in the 200 free.

Relays were big once again for the Lady Dinos as the team of Bradford, Chamberlain, Crompton and Kanyon  Christensen took first and the Carbon team of Rachel Blackburn, Jennacie Jefferey, Ember Lyman and Thayn finished right behind them in second place in the 200 medley relay. Hadley Bower, Chamberlain, King and Crompton finished in first in the 200 free relay.

Gabe Ibanez swam to a top finish in the 100 free with a time of 53.93, he went on to finish in second place in the 200 free, and Cameron Jones earned a first place finish in the 500 free. Mason Engar grabbed two second place finishes in both the 50 and the 100 free, and Nathan Engar finished third in the 100 fly event, Spencer Tullis also claimed third in the 100 breast stroke.

In relays, the team of Ibanez, Jones, Mason Engar and Boyd Bradford finished second in the 400 free relay.

The Dinos will jump back into the pool next Tuesday, when they will travel to the Emery Aquatic Center to face Uintah and the Spartans.
