Emery wrestling headed back to the mat on Wednesday when they welcomed in the Richfield Wildcats. Every win for the Spartans came by the way of a pin or forfeit, but by the end of the evening, Richfield came away with a 45-36 win, unfortunately one match was the difference in a win or a loss for Emery.

At the 106 class, Dixon Peacock won his match by forfeit. Monty Christiansen at 113, Derrick Birch at 120 all claimed victories against the Wildcats.

Rogen Sitterud earned a win at 165, Dane Sitterud won at 175 and Easton Thornley got the win at 285.

Emery will next travel to the Juab Winter Classic on Friday and Saturday. A total of 24 teams will compete against each other in the two day competition, with five duals on Friday and another four on Saturday for a total of nine matches.

The next home meet will take place on Wednesday on January 4 against North Sevier.
