Huntington Creek:
Fishing forecast (December through May): Water levels are low and the creek is frozen. This high-elevation canyon stream is great for catching brown trout and cutthroat trout. A wildfire in the early 2010s disrupted much of the fishing habitat. However, the trout population is beginning to recover, and catchable fish (10 to 20 inches long) can be found in the creek’s deep holes that are higher in the canyon. This river is an artificial fly and lure fishery. (Nov. 28, 2022)
