On December 9, 2022, Kevin Ray Waters, 64, passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly surrounded by love, in the comfort of his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Price. Kevin was born July 9, 1958 (exactly 2 years before one of his favorite people) to Rulon Waters and Jean Marie Clegg. He was proud to be born in Provo, Utah and even more proud that he had received his diploma from Provo High.
Kevin was a kind, caring, considerate, sweet, and so self-less. He was always moving and making good use of his time and energy. One thing he was not; was lazy! If something needed to be fixed, touched up, painted or even if you needed something made from scratch Kevin was genuinely happy if he could help.
He deeply loved animals (especially Boxers, but mostly Pepper his best K-9 friend/son.) As much as he loved animals, he had a passion for the outdoors, mountains, fresh air and just being in the beauty of nature. He was never still unless he was listening to his “tunes.” Kevin connected with music, but his soul loved to travel.
Kevin traveled many places until 18 years ago when he got into a complicated relationship that opened new doors like parenthood, where he chose to stay forever. From the moment he became a step-father, he took that role with pride and never took it for granted. On the day he became a grandpa, everything changed. He built and maintained the most beautiful relationship with the most important person in his life D’aaron Okur Johnson. Kevin lived for his grandchildren and dedicated the majority of his time to make sure he was a part of their lives.
He will always be remembered as the best grandpa ever. Even though we didn’t get enough time we can never thank him enough for the time he gave us.
Kevin leaves behind, his mother, Jean (Kay) Clark, Provo; Whitney (Gary Daniels) Johnson, D’aaron Okur Johnson, Sieland Asterisk Daniels and Asdelin Rose Daniels, all of Price.
