It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Alice Bryant. Mary was 86 years old at the time of her peaceful passing at her home in Globe, Arizona on the morning of December 12, 2022.

Mary was born in Shady Point, Oklahoma on January 12, 1936 to James Hollis Muncy (JH, Pa) and Dolly Bretta Green (Ma). At a young age, she and her large family traveled to California where her Pa worked in the shipyards during WW2. Mary also spoke of memories picking fruit with her siblings and parents in California.

Mary and her family eventually made their way to Utah where most of her family settled. Mary later made her way to San Manuel, Arizona as an adult where she met and married the love of her life William (Bill) Lee Bryant, and they settled for good in Globe after many years between Oracle and San Manuel.

She had a passion for buying and flipping houses. She also had a blast going to casinos where she had a lucky hand at the slot machines. She loved to work outside with her plants and landscaping. She had a love for quilting and the beauty behind the work that goes into quilting.

Most of Mary’s fondest memories were that of her siblings playing music at home and in their bands, with their banjos and fiddles. Her family’s musical talents led to a complete passion for music and dancing.

One of her most absolute favorite things she looked forward to was her weekly drive with Bill to get a sandwich and a Coca-Cola. The most important thing to Mary was her family, and the love she had for her family is unmeasurable. Mary was known for her gentle heart and her generous spirit.

Mary is survived by her five children, Laura, Kelley, Eric, Allison, and Marissa; daughter-in-law, Robin; nine grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Kyle, Sarah, Marissa, Krystle, David, Erica, Samantha; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Bryant; parents, James Hollis Muncy and Dolly Bretta Green; and 10 siblings, Ernest, Louis (Shorty), Macy, Hollis Jr., Thomas, Flora, Louise, Ruby, and the twins.

She would love to be remembered with funny, loving, silly stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.
