The Emery High School wrestling team traveled to Farmington Friday and Saturday to compete against 37 other schools from various classifications throughout the state.
Led by Monty Christiansen’s perfect 5-0 record and first place finish at 106 pounds, the Spartans gathered 82 team points as they locked up 13th place. Greg Suwyn also placed for the Spartans as he ended with a 3-3 record, finishing 6th place at the 190-pound class.
Corbin Jensen and Hayden Christiansen both finished with winning records, ending 3-2 in the 113 and 126-pound respectively.
With the Christmas moratorium just two-days away, the Spartans will complete on Tuesday at Canyon View. The season will then resume on January 4 at home against North Sanpete.
