Now that school’s out for the Christmas break its means that the Desert Wave Pool is always open to entertain the kids. Aquatic Coordinator, Tamara Gray stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.
The indoor pool is closed for reconstructions which are moving along just fine. “Right now, we still just have our wave pool open, our indoor pool is under construction but things are going well. We’re getting it all painted and we’re starting to get ready to finish it,” said Gray. The painting has really brightened up the pool area and will be looking like a whole new facility once renovations are completed.
The pool has extended their hours to accommodate that Carbon School District Christmas break schedule. “The Carbon School District we are usually open when school is out. If parents need to go shop, bring the kids to the pool, we’ll be open through Friday from noon to 8:00 pm. We will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas day but than after that the following week 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. New Year’s Eve will be open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. January 2 we’ll be open all day because school I don’t believe start till January 3 and then the kids our out a couple of days in January so we’re open all day too,” said Gray. The wave pool has so much to entertain the kids with rental of tubes and concession stand.
It’s not a bad idea to give passes to the Wave Pool as gift ideas. “We can customize the gift for anything. For example, we can print you a gift certificate that’s good for a family pass, six month or year, we have day passes, swim lessons, a gift certificate for swim lessons. I had someone come in the other day to just buy a water aerobics punch pass for someone they know that comes and participates in our water aerobics classes. So we can customize a gift certificate to fit anybody’s needs,” said Gray.
