Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Clark J. Killian passed away on December 22, 2022. He was 82 years old. He took a fall while in his Huntington home. He was with family at the time of his passing.
Clark was born March 4, 1940 in Orangeville, Utah to Franklin Lloyd and Thora Seeley Killian.
Clark married Mary Jean Peacock on April 25, 1960, and was later sealed in the Los Angeles, California Temple.
Clark was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clark and Mary Jean served a mission in Independence, Missouri, which they both loved and enjoyed immensely.
Clark was a “Jack of all trades.” He loved working with wood and made beautiful furniture, cabinets, and many other things made of wood. He did most of the work himself on remodeling and adding an addition onto the house where they lived in Price. He was an amazing baker and cook; people loved his bread and cinnamon rolls. Clark and Mary Jean owned and operated a bakery in Price, UT for a short time. Clark had a love for growing a garden. Every summer their back yard would turn into a “Garden of Eden.” Many people were able to enjoy the fruits of Clark’s labors. He was very generous with what he had. He loved to serve. Clark was a hard worker and taught his kids to work hard too.
Clark served nine years in the Navy as a cook/baker on an aircraft carrier. He retired from working for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a facilities mechanic.
Clark and Mary Jean had five children, Peggy (Richard) Rasmussen, Garth Killian, and Cathy (Travis) Livingston; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
