
Kenneth Ray Turner, “Kenny” or “KR,” age 76, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022 at The Goodlife Senior Living and Memory Care in Elmo, Utah due to complications related to Alzheimer’s disease.
Kenny was born to Garn and Geneve Duncan Turner on September 7, 1946 in Salina, Utah. He was raised in Loa, Utah and was the oldest of six children: Monte, Lila, Carol, Wesley, and Michael.
Kenny married Carolyn Forsyth in Bicknell, Utah on March 30, 1968. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father to his two daughters, Stacy and Robyn. His family will fondly remember his kind and jovial nature.
Kenny worked for the Rio Grande Railroad in Salt Lake City, Utah and later for Utah Railway as a brakeman and conductor until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, and crossword puzzles.
Survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Stacy (Gary) and Robyn (Chris); and grandchildren, Tiffanie (Tyler), Taylor, Brennan, and Charlotte.
Preceded in death by his parents, Garn and Geneve Duncan Turner; two brothers, Mike and Wesley; and sister, Carol.
The family wishes to thank his coffee buddies for their camaraderie and friendship over the years; especially, Harry Reddington. They would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to Rick Stockburger and his team as well as the staff at The Goodlife Senior Living and Memory Care in Elmo who cared for Kenny in his final days.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price, Utah 84501). Following the visitation at the funeral home, the burial will take place in the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper, Utah.
