The Lady Dinos took to the floor for the first time since December 19 on Tuesday night, when they traveled to Roosevelt to face the 0-11 Union Cougars. Carbon wasted no time getting down to business putting up 40 points in the first half and finished it off with a 66-37 win.

Heading into the game with Union, the Dinos were on quite a roll, winning four in a row, including their last outing with Manti 50-22.

Carbon got started quickly putting up 19 in the first quarter, but the real fireworks came in the second, when the Lady Dinos put 21 on the board and even more impressively held Union to just four points, taking a 40-15 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Coming out in the third, Carbon let off the gas a bit, putting up just nine in the quarter and giving up 10 to the Cougars. In the fourth quarter, they flipped the switch once again putting up 17 taking the 34 point win.

Tatum Tanner led the Dinos with 16 points and eight rebounds, Madi Orth added 12 while grabbing nine boards and collecting six steals. Haley Garrish had nine points and 11 rebounds and Kennedy Williams had four and dished out six assists in the big Carbon win.

The win moves the Dinos to 10-3 on the season and puts them in the No. 4 spot in the 3A RPI.

Carbon is off now until Tuesday, when they will get region play started as they travel to Richfield to take on the 12-2 Wildcats.

They will be back home next Friday, January the 13, to face another region foe, Canyon View.
