Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Dana L. Ward Fossat, left this life on January 8, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born February 16, 1964, in Price, Utah to Deon and Karen Murning Ward of Huntington.

Dana married Blake Behling on October 30, 1982, and they had two children, Eric and Kristin. They later divorced and she met the love of her life Victor Fossat; they married on August 18, 2007.

Dana was a kind and loving person. Her grandbabies were the light of her life.   She was always putting others above herself. Everyone loved mean Aunt Dana. She was known for her fun, outgoing personality, her green thumb, and being a typical Ward with the need for speed. Some of her favorite jobs included school lunch, working for the Emery County Progress and driving a coal truck; she loved showing them how it was done. Dana wasn’t afraid to tackle anything. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do if she decided she was going to do it. She really was a master of many things.

Dana is survived by her husband, Victor Fossat; children, Eric (Megan) Behling, Kristin (Paul) Black; bonus daughters, Michaela (David) Seals, Melissa Fossat (Robby Matkin); grandchildren Dylan, Cooper, Jase, Landon, Bexley, Dax, Sutton, Hadley; mother-in-law, Sandra Fossat; sisters, Julie Ward and Michelle (Carlos) Hernandez; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Deon and Karen; aunt Lainie (Elaine Hardin); father-in-law, Ralph Fossat.

Memorial Graveside, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 1:00 p.m., Huntington City Cemetery, Huntington, Utah.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Huntington and Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Dana online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be given to the American Cancer Society.
