
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Erlinda Deborah Aguayo Espinoza, age 60, passed away January 9, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Erlinda was born March 7, 1962, to Joseph R. and Emily Silva Aguayo Sr. Married Johnnie Leonard Espinoza in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in August of 1981.
Erlinda graduated from East Carbon High School and was a lifelong resident of Carbon County. In her younger years, she was quite the softball player. She worked for and retired from Koret of California.
She was a devout Catholic and member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes parish in Price. She was always put together and prided herself on looking fabulous. She loved sleepovers with her only grandchild, Renley. She was also extremely proud of her children, Emailylee, Johnny and Anita. Erlinda kept herself busy cooking for her family and playing a myriad of games, including backgammon, with the love of her life, Johnnie. She was also a fine bowler.
She will be extremely missed by her family and a community of friends.
Erlinda is survived by her beloved Johnnie; children, Emailylee Espinoza, Roy, Utah, Johnny Espinoza, Price, Utah and Anita Espinoza, Salt Lake City, Utah; grandson, Renley Espinoza; sisters, Isabel Vega, Helper, Utah, Anita Salazar, Price, Utah, Rita Elkface, Price, Utah; brothers, Emilio Aguayo, Price, Utah, Joe Aguayo, Edgewood, New Mexico.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emily; sister, Mary Alice Garcia; and two infant siblings.
Funeral Mass, Friday, January 13, 2023, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday one hour prior to the service. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery.
