
The Dinos were back in the gym and on the mats in Salina for the two day North Sevier Tournament. 18 teams from across the state made the trip and when all was said and done Carbon ended the weekend in 15th place.
Another weekend and another two day tournament for the Dinos although, their are only five meets left until Divisionals, which take place in Richfield, the first weekend in February.
Host team North Sevier took the top spot with 191.5 points, Canyon View landed in second with 189.5. San Juan, Juab and Delta rounded out the top five.
Four Dino wrestlers finished the weekend in eighth place or better in their weight class. At 120 pounds Trevor Jones took eighth with a 2-3 record. Jace Barlow landed a sixth place spot going 1-3 in the 150 pound class. At 157 pounds Victor Huitt went 3-2 putting him in seventh and Johnathon Jewkes placed the highest for Carbon, earning an fourth place at 175 pounds.
Carbon will be busy this week as they will welcome Richfield to Price on Tuesday, then back-to-back road trips on Wednesday in Salina and Thursday when they travel to Grantsville.
