William G. Ah Mu 84 was called home to his Heavenly Father January 15, 2023 at his home in Price Utah. Willlam was born in Upolu, Samoa July 29, 1938 to Oliver Ah Mu, and Louisa Fruean. He married Marcia Watts December 20, 1972 in Hawaii at the LDS Temple in Lai’e, Oahu.

William lived his first 11 years in Samoa until his father and mother were called, along with their family of 7 children to serve a labor mission in Hamilton New Zealand, where they built the Church Collage of New Zealand and the New Zealand temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. William received his formal education in New Zealand until he attended the Church Collage of Hawaii, now BYU-Hawaii where he received his AS degree and BS degree. In between receiving his degrees, William served a three year LDS mission in Samoa touching many lives. Lai’e is where he later met his best friend and sweetheart Marcia and since then has celebrated 50 years of marriage, and 51 years of having the same birthdays together. They have been blessed with three beautiful children, Patrick Tuao, NiCole Peata and Travis Lesä. William was previously married to Nora Fifield, and together they had a daughter, Manusina Olivia Ah Mu Rees (Jay).

William’s passion was teaching school for over 30 years in Hawaii, Auburn, CA. and Price Utah. He was a beautiful story teller, with numerous spiritual experiences.

He was preceded in death by his son Travis, parents, 4 brothers, Richard,(Ena) Melvin, Willard (Lupe), and Leonard Ah Mu. Surviving are his older brother Anthony Ah Mu (Mary deceased), and younger sister Francella Winchester (Kent), and sister in law Rosie Hannaman Ah Mu. He has 5 beautiful grandchildren, Oliver Chase Ah Mu, Matai Ana Ah Mu, Elijah Tuao Ah Mu, William Rees, and Megan Rees; Also, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to contribute via Venmo @Marcia-AhMu, or a fund will be set up at Eastern Utah Community Credit Union at 675 E 100 N Price, Utah to the William G. Ah Mu, hospital and funeral fund.

Sincere appreciation goes out to Hospice, and the many nurses and aides at Castle View Hospital and Pinnacle Health Care.
