The Carbon wrestling team ended the week last Thursday in Grantsville, the third meet in as many days. Looking to improve on their outings against Orem and Richfield earlier in the week, the Dinos gathered some wins but it was not enough, falling in the match 55-21 to the Cowboys.

Carbon has only two regular season meets remaining, at home against Emery and on the road at Canyon View. The Divisional round is scheduled for February 3 & 4 at Ben Lomond in Ogden and the season comes to and end February 15 & 16 with the State Tournament in Richfield.

The Dinos notched four wins over the Cowboys on Thursday. In the 120 pound class Trevor Jones earned a win by pin. Preston Martinez, in the 144 pound class claimed victory by pin , as did Colin Fausett in the 150 class. At 165, Gavin Fausett earned a victory by decision.

The Dinos will celebrate “Senior Night” on Tuesday as the Emery Spartans come to town.

Junior Varsity matches begin at 5:30 and Varsity will take to the mat at 7.
