The Third Annual Green River Dirt Bike Rally is set to begin on Apr. 13 running through till Apr. 15. This event is intended to introduce riders to some fabulous trails in the San Rafael Swell and Green River area. To get all the event details, Castle Country Radio was able to speak over the telephone with the Event Coordinator, Brett White, who also owns Adventure Hideaway Guided Tours.

This was an event that was developed after COVID, sparking interest to be outdoors again.  “It started out kind of just after COVID, kind of thing started getting going again, the city actually approached us because we run these guided tours and wanted us to set up a kind of an event for them to get people to know the area and help people get out. Obviously, because there wasn’t a lot going on it kind of got big quick. A few hundred people showed up the first year, the same the second year, and this third year we’re getting more companies that want to be involved because they’re kind of seeing the benefit of it. More people are bringing friends and family out and its turned into a really fun event every Spring,” stated White. Not only will there be lots of trail riding on dirt bikes but there will also be several vendors in attendance selling accessories for dirt bikes and other items as well.

There will be guided history tours of several areas around San Rafael Swell and the Green River area. “This year we’re kind of adding a different element to it. There’s quite a bit of previous history in the 50s and 60s, there’s a lot of missile launches out of Green River that people don’t know about. So we have some people in the area who are history buffs, that know the history of it. They’re actually going to be doing some tours Thursday evening and Friday evening – the 13th and 14th. We’ll ride from Green River out to the White Sands area and actually go see the missile launch sites, where they built and launched these missiles,” explained White. This unique tour will be offered to all participants and is included in your registration fee. There will also be an opportunity to observe Professional Enduro Training with Rich Larsen.

The registration cost is very affordable and gets you so much for your buck. Early registration is $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids. You can register the day of the event with a slight increase in price. “You know Green River City themselves they kick a lot of money into the budget from their city budget and they wanted to keep the cost low for people. They basically want to convince people to come to Green River, because they’re going to get a kickback on the back side with sales tax that kicks in. Their goal is to break even with this event, as far as the actual event, and their goal is that people will come and enjoy the area, then come back and stay additional times throughout the year with their families. It’s kind of an investment for Green River City, and that’s why we try to keep the cost low because we want people to show up,” said White.
