On February 3rd, 2023, Heavenly Father welcomed into his arms with immense pride and happiness His extra special daughter, Susan Carol Davis.

Susan is the sweetheart and wife of Gene R. Davis; and her passing into Heaven took place in their home in Spring Glen, Utah, surrounded by many of their children and grandchildren.

Susan, better known as Mom or Grammy, is survived by her beloved husband; her devoted children: Gene R. (Laura) Davis, Katy Sue (Les) McLeod, Tammy C. (John) Burgener, and Nancy Carol Davis; her adored grandchildren: Trexton (Tori) Davis, Davrin (Kaylee) Davis, Shi-Rayne Davis, Daylon Walker, Sunnie Walker, Keishia McLeod, Jamie (Crystal) McLeod, Rikki McLeod, Dustin (Mandy) McLeod, Brok McLeod, Suzi-Kate McLeod, Chani (Ethan) Ralph, Sasjka (McKenzie) Davis, Braxton Burgener, Kyasia Burgener, Kyaria Burgener, and Shikira Davis; and her special greatgrandchildren: Berklee, Rhett, Hayes, Knox, Maverick, Keanu, Olivia, Asjhyr, Espn, Rocky, Swayzi, Dusty, and Addeline.

Susan was born to Katy Ilene Hedden and Lawrence Woody Julian on August 19th, 1949 in Dragerton, Utah. She joins both of her parents, older brother Glen Julian, and her grandson Bodie Ralph in Heaven. She is survived by her siblings: Larry (Lori) Julian, Johnny Julian, Frank (Sheila) Julian, Myrna (Richard) Jewkes, Dennis (Irene) Julian, Doug (Sheryll) Julian, and Dean (Ying) Julian.

Gene and Sue, the cutest little lovebirds since day one, married on March 12th, 1966 in Price, Utah, where they stayed to raise their children. Their marriage was made eternal on July 10th, 1976 in the Manti Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Davis family moved to St. George, Utah in 1986 and had many sunny adventures there before returning to Price.

A lifetime of happy memories of Grammy include: playing in the backyard pool together (after watering her beautiful lawn in a big sunhat, of course), dancing the jitterbug to Elvis with Dad, letting her grandbabies (or “angel babies” she calls them) sleep in her arms on a floatie at Lake Powell, riding four wheelers with us all over the mountains and hills, carefully crocheting blankets for every single one of us, telling Dad to “speak louder” mid-prayer, rocking and singing to her grandbabies on her lap whether they were 3 or 30, coming to every one of our games, events or performances to cheer us on, linking arms with us as we shopped and giggled together, teaching all of us everything about the Savior she so dearly loves, letting us do her hair and makeup so she would “look good” for special occasions (even though she was the prettiest, brightest little Grammy that ever there was), and trying to cheat in all the board and card games that we played together.

Grammy’s personality sparkled with all the love she felt for life, God, and her precious family. With a joke, a great big smile, an easy laugh, and hugs that warmed us to our very core, she was always a source of incredible joy to be around. There isn’t a single soul who doesn’t genuinely adore this absolute Angel of a person. She’s everyone’s hero and everyone’s friend—the most Christlike example we’ll ever get the pleasure to know.

We’d like to thank you, Grammy, for every big and every little thing you’ve done for all of us. Our lives are 100% better because of you. Until we meet again, we honor you, we cherish you, we respect you, and we fiercely—FIERCELY—love you.
