The USU Extension Carbon County is hosting a course called Quick & Easy Cooking: Crepe Expectations on Feb. 15 at 7:00 pm. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Assistant Professor in Family and Consumer Sciences, Christina Pay to get all the details.

“Crepes are something fun and easy, and something we haven’t done before. Of course, we wanted to showcase our new Create Better Health Ambassador, Herim Driggs, who is an expert at making crepes,” said Pay. Officials have found crepes to be easy and versatile, they can be sweet or savory and you can have them for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

“I mean you can mix it up, however, best suits your family. So the important thing is to know they are easy to make and you can do them at home, Herim is going to show you how and gives you a variety of options as far as what you fill those crepes with. So whether it’s something sweet or savory. Again, very versatile and very delicious,” said Pay. On this night you will be able to learn several different recipes that will suit your family’s needs.

The course is almost filled up but it will be made available on Facebook live. “But if you can’t join us, you can join us on Facebook. We’re going back to Facebook live. If you will just look for USU Extension Create Better Health page in Carbon County then you’ll be able to view us live and it will also be there as a recording,” explained Pay. This will make it so you can watch it on your own time, in the comfort of your home.

Next month in Mar. there will be a Quick & Easy Cooking: Celebrating Pie Day on Mar. 15 at 7:00 pm. Registration for this course is currently open. The event will take place at the USU Extension Classroom at 751 East 100 North, Suite 1700 at 7:00 pm.

Any questions about the event call the USU Extension-Carbon County office at (435) 636-3233.
