Price City’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 18 at noon on the city’s Main Street in downtown Price. Parade Officials were able to sit down with Castle Country Radio to share all the details.

“You know last year we was doing an interview about the parade and the weather was pretty good, and it looked like everybody got out and it seems unbelievable that this year we got so much snow and the weather’s changed and everything else. But we are going to have a St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 18, it will be at 12:00 pm as usual. You know its just a great time for people to get out there, and enjoy themselves, see each other that they’ve been in the house for all winter, and just get out and enjoy themselves,” stated Council Member, Rick Davis. Last year there were over 40 entries in the parade and officials hope that they can break that record this year. This is a great way to kick off the spring time months.

The annual event is a great way for businesses, organizations, sports teams, civic and church groups to advertise for free. “I’ve been thrilled to see the growth, year after year, for the last six years or so that it has just grown every single year, we beat our float number record every time. That’s just so thrilling to see, not only the number of entries, but the quality of the floats. I mean to see how much effort these businesses and organizations go to, to decorate their floats, and really just make it an impressive sight, just tickles me pink every year, I love it,” said Parade Coordinator, Megan Marshall.  With each year, more and more residents come out to watch this annual event to kick off the season of green.

Right now, parade officials are currently accepting entries for the parade and you can enter by visiting the Price City website at https://www.pricecityutah.com/ “We are absolutely encouraging businesses, non-profits, even family entries. We want to get your family together to put a float into the parade because its just a great time to get together and support the community that supports you. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get some great exposure, in front of countless people and just have a ball doing it,” said Marshall. You can learn more about the rules and regulations by signing up on the Price City website under the events tap.
