The 41st Annual Eastern Utah Women’s Conference will take place on Mar. 22 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the USU Eastern Campus in Price. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Amy Peters and Administrative Assistant, Madi Bennett to get all the details.
Officials have been planning and meeting for months to put together an exciting Women’s Conference this year. There will be many classes/workshops to attend during this event. “We’re kicking off right at 1:00 pm with our welcome activities, and those include candle making with Jody Pierce and MaKayla Shiner; and then we are having a macramé class with Mallery Dunn, and like Amy said USU Eastern Cosmetology will be there offering free services. Our keynote speakers we have Hailey Atwood with Smile at the People, and then Darlene Dilley from Utah Tech University. Then with our breakout sessions, we have a baklava class with Pam & Steve Cha, we have investing in Mental Health with Sabrina Carter and Shelley Allred, we also have a Five Meals in 30 minutes from Gina Hansen and Pam Finn,” said Bennett. They will also have during their second breakout sessions information on Dutch oven cooking, and a women’s self defense course. So there are many different workshops being held that there is sure to be something for every woman to enjoy.
Conference organizers are still looking for vendors and sponsors to be a part of the 41st Annual Eastern Utah Women’s Conference. “We’re looking for vendors, we want you to come highlight your business and fill the hall of the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center, okay? Come bring organizations, that way you can promote your business, you can promote sales, you can come and sell things if you would like or you can come give things away. We are looking for sponsorships and those are just plain out cash donations of $125.00 if you like or you can donate swag items to us for a gift valued at $25.00 for a raffle, and then that way your name is highlighted in the program and that way your business is highlighted,” said Peters. This is great way to network with all women from Carbon and Emery Counties.
Registration is currently taking place, the cost is very affordable and will offer workshops, speakers and dinner. “So to register to be a part of the Women’s Conference to https://eastern.usu.edu/womensconference/ and right there you will find all the information for the save the date, its has the times, its has the fees. So right now full registration is $45.00, if you only want to come to the evening portion than it’s $25.00 and you can also find ways to links, and to be sponsor,” explained Bennett.
