Else Lamb “Oma,” age 83, died peacefully March 3, 2023 of natural causes in her  California home.  She was born July 2, 1939 in Mannheim, Germany, one of four children to Karl and Amalie Wallmann Schreckenberger.  She met and married her husband, Virgil Lamb, in Germany while he was stationed in the US Army and afterwards immigrated to the US with her first-born daughter in 1963, making her home in Price, Utah.  She became a naturalized citizen in 1972.

Else held a bachelor’s degree and was trained in two vocations.  But her passion was being a florist.  She worked many years in Europe and Price caring for plants and flowers, providing joy and comfort to those that received them.  She adored dogs and children and became known as “Oma” to most.  She was always offering gummy bears, baked goods as well as bratwurst, sauerkraut and dog treats.

She is survived by her children, Debbie and Mike Turner, Sylvia Lamb and Lisa Cohen, and Katharina Lamb; eight grandchildren, Stacey, Jeff, Jake, Eden, Tyler, Keeley, Chelsey and Trevor; nine great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Carter, Jay, Brooklyn and Scarlett, Noah, Chloe, Josslynn and Asher.  She is also survived by her sister, Connie and husband, Steve Christopher; as well as her furry grandchildren, Stella, Molli, Brandi, Rueger, Rhoady, Wasatch and Enzo ,

She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lamb; parents, Amalie and Karl Schreckenberger, Udell and Faye Lamb; brothers, Rudi and Heinz Schreckenberger; sister, Kathe Hermann; brother-in-law and his wife, John Dee and Judy Lamb; as well as Fluffy, Gizmo, Spooky, and Pepper.

Funeral service, Friday, March 10, 2023, 1:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
