The Notre Dame St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will take place after the parade on Saturday, March 18 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Notre Dame Hope Community Center on 185 North Carbon Avenue. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Representative, Nick Tatton to get all the details.

This event has been a long-standing traditional for folks in the Castle Country area. “Its been a regular event for 12 to 15 years, something that a lot of us are real proud to  be a part of. I think it’s been a great thing for Notre Dame, lot of fun in the community and what better community to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than in Price, Utah,” stated Tatton. This is a community event open to all ages, as there will be several activities for all ages to enjoy.

The cost for the Corned Beef & Cabbage Lunch will be $12.00, plus there will be hamburgers and hot dogs sold as well. “So the proceeds from the day with the lunch and everything, will go towards the needs that the church has, maybe worn out equipment, religious education needs, some charitable giving that the church does. As well as they do like to return some of the money that is raised into other groups in the community that meet their mission,” explained Tatton. There will also be green beverages and soft drinks sold to enjoy with the lunch/dinner items.

All community members are wanted and welcome to enjoy an afternoon of fun with friends and neighbors. “We’re hoping for a nice day that day but with the snow sticking around a little late this year, it might be a good way to get people out and maybe get away from the cabin fever of being cooped up all winter a little bit. Have some fun, a great lunch, and we have a lot of fun preparing it and taking care of the community that way,” stated Tatton. There will be baked goods and a silent auction taking place during the celebration.
