The Boys & Girls Club – Price Club is plugging away and are looking for staff members to come assist the organization. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Club Coordinator, Quakee Tabone to talk about what you can do to apply for a position.
“We have positions posted on our website and through Indeed, and you’re always welcome to stop by our club and drop off your resume, we can point you in the right direction as well. But we have positions working with our elementary school kids and with our teens, which is our middle and high schoolers,” said Tabone. She said it’s a really fun environment to work in and what an exciting opportunity to work with children in the Castle Country area.
The club recently underwent some renovations over the winter break and they are now just putting on the finishing touches. “We just got some brand new front offices built and they look amazing, a really nice space for us in our front lobby check-in area, which also adds some great safety features. We got our kitchen redone and the kids have just loved being able to cook in there, so it’s been really awesome, lots of space,” explained Tabone. If you would like to see what the new facility looks like feel free to stop by and take a quick tour.
Each month the club sets aside an evening geared for the teens at the club. “March 24 we have our Teen Night, we try to do it monthly, we just had one in February that was a Valentine’s themed one. We had a really great turnout, gave away some cool prizes. The hit for the night was the Super Smash Bros Tournament. But for March we’re still in the works, the teens get to plan the Teen Night, so they’re still working on what all is going to happen. But we usually give away some fun prizes, its free for all teens,” stated Tabone. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what the club can offer as the event is open to all middle schoolers and high schoolers in the community.
If you wish to have your child be a part of the Boys & Girls Club – Price Club its quite easy to register. “So its $20.00 for the whole school year, which is a pretty good deal, but then we have another $20.00 fee when it comes to the summer program. But all you have to do is sign up is come down fill out a membership form, pay your fee and you’re good to start,” said Tabone. The club is located at 60 East 100 North in Price, and their phone number is (435) 637-6066.
