The community is invited to stop into Eastern Utah Community Credit Union (EUCCU) located at 675 East 100 North on Tuesday, March 14 beginning at 9:00 am for their Annual “Pi Day” Pie Sale Fundraiser. The sale will last until all the pies have been sold.
“We have the Pie Sale upcoming where we have a bunch of the employees of the credit union has offered to make pies and bring them to raise money for the Angel Tree. So we’ve got a bunch of awesome types, some people are talking about making apple pies, we’ve got some peach pies, some cheesecake, just a whole wide range. We’re going to have all of those pies available Tuesday morning, it’s first come, first serve, so once we’re out of pies,” said EUCCU Representative, Paige Anderson. The suggested donation per pie is $12.00 each.
EUCCU has been a huge sponsor of the United Way of Eastern Utah Angel Tree program and hosts several different fundraisers throughout the year in order to be prepared for the coming year’s Christmas season. “So all year long we’ve got bake sales, we’ve got different events, often we do raffles that we can earn money with for the Angel Tree. Almost anytime we plan an event, we are looking for a way to get money into our Angel Tree Fund for that at the end of the year,” said Anderson.
The next upcoming event for EUCCU is the annual Piggy Hunt in April to help celebrate Easter. “At the beginning of April, we are doing our Easter Piggy Hunt. So we hid a bunch of eggs and little pigs for the kids to go find. Its another great opportunity for everyone to get out, come enjoy a great event, and also raise money for the Angel Tree,” stated Anderson. EUCCU usually helps over 100 Angels each year and would not be able to do so without the cooperation of the community.
