The Spartans soccer club is still searching for that first win. Sitting at 0-2 they welcomed the Delta Rabbits to town last Friday, the Spartans drew first blood, but the second half was all about Delta, as they scored a pair of goals, handing the Spartans a 2-1 loss.

The Spartans began the season by traveling to St. George for tournament play. Taking part in two contests in as many days the Spartans fell to Morgan and Skyview. Last Thursday, they were scheduled to open Region 12 play on the road in Cedar City to face Canyon View, but due to weather, that game will need to be rescheduled.

The game with Delta started out with the Spartans coming out and finding the back of the net early in the first half, as Emery took the 1-0 lead into the locker room.

The Rabbits came out in half two, tying up the score and then taking the lead. Delta would not allow the Spartans to find the back of the net in the second half. holding on to the 2-0 lead.

The Spartans sit at 0-3 and are looking to get one in the win column on Tuesday, when they welcome the Carbon Dinos to Castle Dale. Last season when these two met, the Spartans handed the Dinos their only region loss, 3-0 in Castle Dale.

The contest between the two is set for 4 p.m. in Castle Dale.
