
Carbon soccer was back on the pitch in Price to face the Grand County Red Devils. This was the first meeting between the two team this season and the Dinos got to work taking a 3-1 victory in front of the home crowd.
Carbon has made it to Spring Break with a 4-2 overall record and are still on pace to repeat as Region 12 Champions with a 4-1 record. The Emery Spartans sit atop the region right now at 4-0 and are the only team in the division to beat the Dinos.
The Dinos came out in the first half trying to feel out the Red Devils managing to put one goal in the back of the net and carried a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
In half number two, Grand would put one through the pipes however, Carbon came back to ring the bell not once but twice in the half putting the Dinos up and giving them the 3-1 win.
Connor Cunningham scored a goal for Carbon, as did Luke Brady. Tacoma Smith and Parker Morgan each had an assist in the Dino victory as well.
Carbon heads into the a long week off before they head into the final stretch, and won’t be back on the field until Tuesday, April 11 when they travel to Richfield.
They will be back home on Thursday, April 13 when the Emery Spartans come to town for a possible region championship. Game time is set for 4 p.m..
