Denise Hepworth was born on November 25, 1948 in Panguitch, Utah to Edmund C. and June Cox Hepworth. She passed away on March 27, 2023 in East Carbon, Utah.
She was the oldest of five children. Denise spent her earliest years between Swains Creek and Panguitch but mostly grew up in Orderville where she graduated from Valley High School. She then went to Dixie where she studied nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After a couple of years working in a care facility in Beaver, Utah, she moved to Salt Lake City where she worked at Holy Cross and LDS Hospitals for almost forty years.
Denise loved her family dearly and was especially close to her mother. She was an avid reader to the end. She was the self-proclaimed family photographer. We could not find many pictures of her because she was the one always behind, instead of in front of the camera. The family will remember that Christmas was her favorite holiday as she loved to give.
She married Kenneth Carter on August 28, 1996. They spent many happy times together camping, fishing, hunting, and finding unique and precious rocks and gemstones throughout Utah; especially in the West Desert and Uintah Mountains.
Survived by her husband, Kenneth Carter; siblings, Mary Ann Kohm, Ryan Hepworth, Martin Hepworth; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father, Edmund Crofts Hepworth; mother, June Cox Hepworth; and brother, Edmund (Ed) Hepworth.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Orderville First Ward Chapel (53 South Center Street, Orderville, Utah).
