The Region 12 girl’s golf season continued Tuesday afternoon as Canyon View played host to Carbon, Emery, and Richfield at the Cedar Ridge course in Cedar City.

The Richfield Wildcats continued to stroll past the competition as they kept their unbeaten streak alive with an outstanding 348 team score. Carbon finished in second with a 414, followed by Emery’s 446. Canyon View finished in last with a 495.

Carley West led the Lady Dinos as she shot a team-low 99. Savanna Rasmussen was second on the team with a 101, followed by Kaylynn Black’s 104. The fourth individual score went to Grace Simms with a 110.

Kimber Gilbert was the low Emery golfer as she poured in a 102. Aspen Jensen followed with a 111 topping teammate Cheyenne Bingham’s 116. Payton Wakefield rounded out the individual scoring for the Lady Spartans with a 117.

Tuesday’s meet continued a steady trend of Richfield finishing first, Carbon second, Emery third and Canyon View in fourth. With four meets remaining on the regular season slate, the Region 12 standings are the same as they were following the opening meet back on March 9.

The teams will now shift focus to Thursday, April 20 when region play continues at the Millsite Golf Course in Ferron, the home course of the Lady Spartans.
