The Dinos are sitting in the drivers seat for a region title. On Friday they traveled to Beaver for a non-conference contests with the Beavers. The Dinos would turn a 1-1 tie in the first half to a 2-1 win at the end of regulation.

The Dinos now hold a 7-3 overall record, 6-2 in region, and have completed the region portion of their schedule.  Carbon now awaits the outcome of the Emery and Canyon View match on Tuesday, an Emery win and the Dinos will share the Region 12 title with the Spartans, if Emery loses the Dinos will hold the title alone.

In the game with Beaver, both teams came out and put their offense on display going 1-1 in the first half. In half number two, The Dinos came out looking to end it, finding the back of the net putting the score at 2-1, taking their seventh win of the season.

Connor Cunningham found the back of the net once for the Dinos in the win. Luke Bradford scored the other goal for Carbon logging one assist, and Mason Engar added another assist.

Tuesday, Carbon will be on the road to take on Waterford, they will then await the final RPI and rankings for the 3A State Championships that will be released on Wednesday.

The opening round of the playoffs will start Friday at home sites.
