Erna Anna Jones Underwood, age 88, passed away on April 20, 2023 at the Good Life Senior Living.

Erna was born on March 26, 1935 in Rigby, Idaho to Durane William “Bill” Jones and Erna Emile Green Jones. Her mother passed away three days after Erna was born. She lived with her grandparents in Fountain Green until she was reunited with her father, her siblings, Ronald Eugene Jones, Mary Bea Jones and Rex Durain Jones, her new mother, Edna Brown Jones and her four new brothers, Clifford, Clifton, Roger and David Wayne.

Erna attended North Emery High School then spent her adult life in California. She married Charles Eugene Terry, they later divorced. They had six children, Faith Adele (Bruce) Burch, Littleton, Colorado, Darwin Eugene Terry (deceased), Bonnie Lee Terry, Deborah A. (Lawrence) Fanatia, Calhan, Colorado, Robert (Nina) Terry, Florida, Daniel Terry.

Erna married Jack Underwood on March 31, 1997; he passed away on February 29, 2008.

Erna is survived by her children, Faith, Bonnie, Deborah, Robert and Daniel; 30 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mickey Cranford, Wellington, Joann (Tom) Shannon, Huntington, Janene (Dave) Avery, East Carbon; sisters-in-law, Marva Jones, Lena Beth Jones, Klea Jones, LynnAnn Wilson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Underwood; son, Darwin Terry; brothers, Ronald, Rex, Clifford, Clifton, Roger, David Wayne, Lenard Doyle; sisters, Mary Bea and Billie; sister-in-law, Janet Burr Jones; brothers-in-law, Ferris Grange, Robert Kessler and Sam Cranford.

Graveside service, Monday, April 24, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Huntington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
