Justice R Fonzo Pendray, 26, our beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 27, 2023.

Justice was born on March 12, 1997, to parents Farrah and Jonathan Pendray and Travis Barrington. He was baptized at the age of eight, sealed to Jonathan and Farrah Pendray for time and all eternity and endowed in the Manti Temple. He was a graduate of Carbon High School and was currently going to school to earn a degree in coding.

On June 25, 2016, Justice married the love of his life, Kaileen Brower Pendray; they were sealed as eternal companions on September 9th, 2017. In their six years together, they went on many adventures near and far and had the honor of becoming parents to beautiful spirit children. Justice has now been reunited with his children and will watch over them in the celestial kingdom.

Those who knew Justice, even just a little, knew the love and light he brought into this world. When he walked into a room, you would be greeted with the most comforting hug and infectious smile that would grow bigger as he saw you smile in return. He was the best big brother to his eight siblings and uncle to his special nieces and nephews. His infinite love for kids made him the favorite at all the family gatherings. Justice was always there for them in a moment’s notice, no questions asked. He knew how to make them and everyone around him feel special with an individual connection even if they had met only a few times. He would lift you up and make you feel infinitely better without even knowing how much it was needed. There was always a sense of security and calmness when you were in his presence.

When Justice was not working with his dad Travis at real estate website, Propmodo, side by side with his dad Jon and his family at Pendray Construction & San Rafael Garage Doors or moonlighting at Lila and Gentry Coal mines where he received his electrical certification and earned the name of Peanut, you would find him in the gym working out or on one of his many adventures as he had a thirst for a healthy and active lifestyle. Justice had a love for the outdoors from an early age. You would always find him mountain biking, rock climbing, hunting, camping, fishing, sailing, going on spur of the moment hikes to Mt. Nebo with his best friend in the middle of the night or on road trips with his brother when their original plans didn’t quite work out. Justice was always planning his next big trip whether it be right around the corner or the other side of the world.

Justice was always striving to learn something new and to be better than he was the day before. He had a thirst for knowledge and a love for reading, especially about history. On his shelves you would find an eclectic array of books from a first edition Mark Twain to the Geneva Bible and science magazines. This helped him to become the educated and well-spoken person everyone came to know and love.

Justice was passionate and would pour himself into whatever he was working on or learning at 100% and nothing less, but if you asked him, he would say “I will never achieve 100%, I will only ever reach 80% but 80% is perfection if I am to live a life of personal meaning and a life of balance. I should not feel distraught for not achieving a true 100%. It’s not that I don’t try, it’s that I cannot obtain 100% with balance on other ends. Jesus knows this and says that we may come to him at our best which is not 100% and he will take us in and make up the rest.”

He was a very strong willed and determined man who stood up for his convictions and what he felt was right. Justice strived to serve others in everything that he did throughout his amazing life. He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held the Melchizedek Priesthood from the age of 18 and was honored to serve others outside of his community with a mission calling to the Vladivostok region in Russia. While on this mission and years following, Justice found a deep love and appreciation for the Russian people, the culture and language. He held many friends he met along the way there close to his heart. Justice will be missed beyond measure by everyone that had the honor of knowing him.

Justice is survived by his parents, Farrah and Jonathan Pendray, Price, Travis and Bethany Barrington, Carlsbad, CA; siblings, Quakee (Dallin) Tabone, Price, Tyler Curtis, Park City, MT, Maverick Barrington, Carlsbad, Wynter Pendray, Price, Emily Barrington, Carlsbad, Kaden Barrington, Carlsbad, Summer Pendray, Price, Fox Pendray, Price, and Jackson Barrington, Carlsbad; grandparents, Blake and Vera Fausett, Price, Karen and Rick Watterson, St. George, Tom and Caroline Barrington, Price, Jay and Amy Dinkelman, Price; ex-wife, Kaileen Pendray; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
